Athletes representing Ghana at this years Olympics in Paris has been told they will receive only per-diem according to the President of Ghana Athletics, Bawa Fuseini.
He affirmed that, government through the Ministry of Youth and Sports has not informed or confirmed any bonus packages to the athletes neither have they mentioned if there would be prize monies for any medals won.
Bawa Fuseini speaking on Happy Sports monitored by BENZFIELDSPORTS.NET, say it is only the usual pie-diem package that has been agreed upon for athletes and officials.
“In terms of per diems we have been told what we are going to get for both athletes and officials. It will be paid from when we start camping till we finish our events at the Games.”
“ But for bonuses or what they will get for winning a medals we don’t know the monetary allocation for that,” Bawa said on Happy Sports.
