The MOJ Foundation as part pf their commitment in bring development to the rural areas in Ghana is organizing the 2nd OMJ SoccerFest competition to be hosted at the Akuapem South municipality commences on Saturday, July 6th, and shall bring down the curtains on Sunday 7th July 2024 at Oboadaka in the Akuapem South municipality of the Eastern Region of Ghana.
The event, which is organised by the OMJ Foundation, is arguably the biggest football festival instituted for the municipality with the sole aim of harnessing raw talents and refining them to secure brighter opportunities for their carrier development in the area of football.
The maiden edition, which was hosted in February last year, saw Konkonuru, the host town, the ultimate winners of the competition.
The 2nd Edition of the competition promises to be exciting and much more aggressive as the number of participating teams doubles from previously 6 teams to 12 teams.
OMJ Foundation is a dynamic and compassionate non-profit organization committed to creating positive change in society. The foundation was established with a clear purpose: to positively impact generations through the act of giving back. “Our research indicates that there are a lot of talents in the rural and remote areas such other remote areas of the country. Unfortunately, they lack the opportunities and avenues to advance their God-given talents due to lack of support, motivation, and to a large extent, lack of exposure. It is in line with the above mentioned situation that as Foundation, we have taken the responsibility of making OMJ SoccerFest the biggest Soccer platform for a display of football talents earmarked to happen annually in bid of opening doors and opportunities for best performing players”, The CEO, Mr. Osei Mensah Joseph said.

It is worth mentioning that the maiden edition of the OMJ SoccerFest was hosted and won by Konkonuru, making them the current SoccerFest defending champions who come into the competition with great respect and recognition.
With the clear purpose set for OMJ SoccerFest, a number of local and international scouts, Football Agents and agencies, Football Coaches and trainers, Ex National teams players and all other stakeholders within the football fraternity are brought on board to help in the selection processes of best performing players at the event.
A number of dignitaries such as the prestigious Chiefs, the Honorable Member of Parliament for the Constituency, the Municipal Chief Executive, The Regional FA Chairman, such other distinguished invited guests, the media, and the youths who share in football interest are called upon to making this project a success as the stage is almost set for the event.
