The Ghana Athletics President has explains why Gadayi was dropped from the Paris 2024 Olympic Games
President of Ghana Athletics, Bawa Fuseini disclosed that Edwin Gadayi’s inability to go for the Olympics Games is a result of a new regulation introduced by the International Olympics Committee.
Edwin Gadayi who was part of the team that qualified for the Olympics Games 4X100 men’s relay event in Bahamas will not be in Paris for the multi- sport competition.
According to Bawa Fuseini, Gadayi was part of their first list for the Games till the new regulation was released.

“It was not our decision to take him out because he was in our first list for the Olympic Games, and we know this will be hard for them.”
“However, we have already spoken to him and he knows he will not be going to the Games,”
With Edwin Gadayi out, Ghana will now have eight representation in athletes. Team Ghana has since arrived in Strasbourg for pre-Games camping.
