Ghana’s major Zongo inter tribal soccer tournament organized by youth of Madina will kickoff on 29th June 2024 at the Madina astro turf. This years competition has seen huge improvement as 16 tribes are expected to take part after only 8 tribes were present in the two previous editions.
According to the organizers led by Awal tinkler, this years competition will seek to promote peace among the tribe within Accra and beyond since the participant spread across Accra and its environs.
This year’s event is third in edition, since the maiden edition in 2022 which started with 8 tribes.
The teams have been divided into six groups with four each, with the best two team in each group qualifying to the next stage of the competition.
Awal tinkler the lead organizer has emphasized that “PEACE AND UNITY” is the main aim behind the formation of this competition and has adding that the event is here to stay and urge philanthropies and cooperate organizations to partner them as they grow the communalities through football.
